- While the population is similar in size to many other small Wheatbelt towns, Wave Rock attracts more than 130,000 visitors to the town each year.
- Wave Rock, the extraordinary natural rock formation that resembles a large tidal wave, was formed by the gradual erosion of rock over many millions of years and is 14 metres high and 100 metres long. There are also a number of smaller ‘waves’ in the area surrounding Hyden.
